Prelude to Act II

It is a sleepy morning in the village. The sun is rising. Unaware their world has changed overnight with the disappearance of Isabella, the villagers slumber in their last moments of unconcerned sleep.

Act II Finale:  Riposa

Deep in the walls of the kingdom of Henry IV, Isabella slips into her mother’s room to say her thanks and farewell. The heartbeat of Isabella’s mother, Iris, can be clearly heard in the work, but soon grows weaker, and finally disappears altogether at which point Isabella cries out, “Mama? Mama?!” With no more words to say, Isabella weeps over the body of her mother as the curtain falls to conclude the second act.

Prelude to Act III

After the loss of her mother, Isabella must face her fate alone within the Kingdom of Henry IV.
